Finally got a video camera!

Thanksgiving Cruise

Here are some photos from our cruise! It was cut short after I got food poisoning from the ship. ;( We did get to see Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. The last port was where we were kicked off the ship, and sent to a hospital in PV, which we eventually had to 'escape' from. Long story most already know and it's too long to type out. ;) Thank you for your prayers, as God directed our steps in that fiasco.

New pregnancy firsts

* My belly button has officially dissapeared into the rest of my stomach.

*Our bed shrunk

*I look like a duck when I bend down to pick something up.

*Let's just say....don't make me laugh too hard. ;)

*Irritated at a little bit too much these days

*Getting sick, or having headaches SUCKS. I can't take anything! Well, anything that actually works.

*My hair and eyelashes are as thin as the wind

*Shoes....I hate them. Flip flops are the best invention of all time.

*Doorways aren't big enough for the both of us

*Stairs are fun. Especially working at the school where I truck up them 5 times a day.

*Peach fuzz on my tummy is now sticking straight out. Looks like I rubbed a balloon on 'em!

*My boobs are huge! AMEN!!! FINALLY!!!

*The scale is still ugly, but I'm right on track.

*Bathing suit. Hehe....bathing suit....I've tried swimming in mom and dad's pool. A one peice looks like a toddler's first wetsuit on this body.

*I love warm milk at night. Soy milk. Chloe is a wiggle worm after I drink it before bed.

*I also love cheez-its. Enough to buy a 3 pound box worth. (prior blog)

*Jeremy has started talking to Chloe more. When he touches my tummy I can feel her kickn' around.

*This is the coolest experience I've ever been blessed with. I'm halfway through, and am getting more and more excited!!!!

I love you Sam's Club

I bought a 3lb box of cheez-its. I couldn't believe my eyes, and now I think I'm addicted. ;) Being a Sam's Club shopper has made me see the benefit, and importance, of larger kitchen cabinets. Not to mention portion control. ;)

I've learned my lesson

I would've taken a picture if I could of. However, I was trapped. Fitting into my favorite shirt was easy this morning. Taking it off was another story. I couldn't stop laughing at myself. I couldn't go 'overhead' cause it was too tight and my arms couldn't reach, and I couldn't go 'overbelly' cause well....I just couldn't. Another priceless moment. ;)

Our trip to Tahoe

For Jer's birthday this year we took a weekend for ourselves, and stayed in Tahoe. As always we took a ton of pictures, ate way too much good food, and enjoyed perfect weather in the Tahoe/Truckee area. We stayed at the River Ranch and had a fancy pants dinner at the Soule Domaine. Every year for our anniversary we have dinner there, but decided to cheat and go early. ;) September 17 will be our 3rd year anniversary already! Jer took a few belly pics too take a look....

Just belly dancin'. ;) Actually I'm not sure what I was doing.

The belly....

K guys you asked for it. Here it is. I'm going on 15 weeks now (with triplets!!) just kidding but there really is only one in there. This picture was taken today after a big breakfast. ;) PS...if you haven't watched the 'pitching tent' video a couple posts down you're missing out. It's hilarious!!!

Dad and me

This is us at the baseball game. Something we both love! He's gonna be a great gramps to our little guy/girl. Either way they'll learn how to swing a bat and throw a ball. ;) Love ya dad.

The Prego 'Firsts'

Some "firsts" since I've been pregnant:

* I ate a chicken and garlic pizza last night with hot sauce all over the top.

* I can't stand the look and smell of hummus. Typing the word makes me gag.

* I no longer can watch TLC channel without crying. Couldn't really before either. ;)

* I finally was graced with the presence of heartburn. (not surprised! I practically drink hot sauce lately.)

* I have discovered clever ways to fit into my pants. Rubber bands work wonders!

* I swear I see a million prego ladies a day where before I didn't really notice.

* Drinking water stops a couple hours before I go to bed. The bathroom has never seen so much of me in the early morning hours.

* I do the pregnant shuffle trying to get to my front door in 100 degree heat. It's awful and funny at the same time. My body just won't get up and go!

* I've had men and women touch my tummy. Some asking 'how many' I have in there. ;(

* My husband has been a saint. (Not saying that he never was before the baby Ala) He cooks, helps me clean, does laundry, and the best of all has been cleaning the cat box! Holy cow I never thought I'd see the day when Jeremy would be scoopin' cat poo.

* I'm scared. I've never felt so vulnerable. I pray that everything is going good in that tiny basketball belly of mine. It's hard not knowing until your next appointment that your baby is healthy and has a heartbeat.

* I can't wait to be a mom. I also can't wait to see Jeremy, mom, and dad be the best family our children could ever hope for. It's a fun journey for sure!

The belly pictures will soon make their debut. ;)

AHA! Great Music all day!

I've discovered something great! It's called Pandora.com. I've found that I can go onto the website and actually listen to the FULL song (and others like it) before I go on itunes and make a purchase. I've had this new found 'internet radio' going all day. Hope you enjoy it too! Unless of course this is nothing new and you all already figured this out.

Butterfingers

I dropped an entire bottle of Tapatio hot sauce on the kitchen floor. The bottle was huge, and so was the mess. It looked like a murder scene in there, and smelled like a pepper factory. I had glass in my hair, hot sauce on the ceiling, walls, stove, and probably the cat. I wanted so badly to burst out crying and frantically grab some chips or a spoon to save what I could. ;(

Tapatio has been the only thing baby Ala's been craving a LOT of. I put it on everything lately. E-v-e-r-ything. So....goodbye vat of red spicy deliciousness. I will soon replace you with something more...plastic and buoyant.

Baby Ala

Third times a charm....I'm pregnant! These were taken a long time ago, but we'll keep you updated from here on out. ;)

Dr. John is going to Mali

When Jeremy and I came back from Uganda, I had a scare. Some bumps on my arm and legs looked infected. We were afraid of what bit me, and what I could have possibly brought back from Africa. I went around and around in the system trying to get my other doctors to see me as soon as possible. What should have been days, turns into weeks, and I still didn't have an appointment.

When I finally was looked over, the man who was a 'specialist' printed documents from the internet stating what I 'could' have. The internet....I was getting diagnosed by a guy in a really bad tie browsing the internet. Well, after the tests my results were lost, and no one was calling me back. It was extremely scary as the bumps were looking worse, and the one on my arm was turning colors.

THen we heard from a friend about doctor john. We gave him a call, and that DAY he called us in, free of charge. He called the doctors and dermatologists that neglected my condition with both Jeremy and I in the room. He called us every week making sure I had the results and medication I needed. He also will be doing an ultrasound for me...free of charge before him and his wife leave for Mali. Watch the video in HD, and if you can please PLEASE pass this around. This family needs prayer and support.

Our favorites the Gomez'

When I married Jeremy, I also inherited Andre and Nicole. ;) They are amazing people that we both highly respect, and have a lot of fun with. We had a great time in St. Helena with a lot of good food, jokes, wine, and great talks that I will never forget. We'll miss you guys, and we owe you a visit (actually a few visits cause we're way overdue).

Get your kleenex out...

God has an 'oh so obvious' way of showing us his mercy and grace. His plans for us and our future. Plans to prosper us and give us hope. Waking up in the morning should be a reason enough for us to sing praise for another sunrise seen when pushing open the curtains, give thanks for a safe place to call home, look at our spouse and pray for them, and throughout our day focus on the king of all glory. Why do we forget? How come it seems to not fit into our agenda? This little guy on the video showed so many people love without even speaking. He had 99 days. What about you?

Napa Easter Trip

Jer's brother Jesse, his wife Kari, and little baby girl Sabelli came up for a visit for Easter. We stayed at an AWESOME bed and breakfast in St. Helena, ate a ton of pizza, drank really good wine, rode a scary gondola, visited Castillo De Amarosa again (where Bedtime Stories was filmed) and once again had the best of the best Fantasia wine! It was a great trip, and we enjoyed spending time with family!! Here is a mish-mash of pictures from the trip. There's one where Jer has Sabelli zipped up in his jacket after she fell asleep at the restaurant. SO CUTE.
