Valentine's Day 2009....my husband the romantic

So I was suprised at work a couple days ago. I thought I heard Jer's voice but I kept working in the office. Then I hear "hey does anyone know Jessica?" I looked around the corner to see my 'rose delivering' husband with a big smile on his face. They were beautiful, and yes I had bragging rights before this holiday even hit! Then he decked out our living room into a full on "dinner picnic in front of the fireplace". We had caprese to start with a glass of wine, then a seafood stuffed mushroom the size of my face, and bacon wrapped prawns with jalapeno. Green salad and asparagus on the side. The dinner was totally scarfed down, and the bottle of wine polished off. We had dessert but I won't give details from there. ;) Here's some photos of Jeremy's amazing dinner set-up. What a guy!!!

This one is dark but you get the idea. He lit over 50 tea lights. One of them burnt the end of my ponytail while attempting to get a good picture. ;(

Love love love

Valentines day is dumb. We should think daily of the things we love and care for, and the memories! Here are a few of my top picks.

Or course the greatest day ever. ;)

Spending time in Apple Hill with the most amazing friends on earth

The day I gave my life to Christ

and my favorite family. ;)

Watching Jeremy serve in Uganda, and seeing his passion for people.

Holding the hand of the most precious girl I've met

Flying out of an airplane once. But what an experience!

Seeing thousands of smiling faces in Africa, and knowing that we had a part in it.

Visiting family and home, and spending time with my husband.

Drinking wine

Our travels to Boston, Vermont, Kona, and Uganda. Thank you to the people that made all our trips possible. We love you.

The one and 'onlies'

Our 4th of July tradition

Mimmy cat

Most of all, the one who loved us so much that He laid His life down.....so we could live.

Laid Off

Bye bye Brother's. It was tough packing all my stuff today. It's interesting what accumulates in a small desk in just a short 4 years. I found my 5 pound weights that got used once. Us girls were trying to work out at the office but that idea was quickly retired. I also found all of my menus from calling in orders (which we did while lifting the 5 pound weights). The most exciting find was my 365 daily bible. Not proud of that one......t was at the bottom of a drawer. Funny how God gives hints. What's really sad is that I truly believe my "poor office plant" will soon go into shock. shrivel up, plop over, and die. It had a perfect spot in the window.

It's a bummer to say goodbye to all the great people at Brother's Home Improvement. They have been amazing to work for, and a true character building type of company. Now I'm on a new path and headed toward my career with Tricks. I also have seen the difference of what ONE DAY OFF can do. I actually had lunch with a friend of mine. I'm learning how important it is (busy or not) to invest in the ones you care about. SO....off I go and please keep Jer and I in your prayers as we're trying to figure out our financial situation.
